WE NEED EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTIONS

First, let us thank Adirondack Community College, Skidmore College and SUNY Canton for their participation in changing Marta, Maribel and Samuel's world.

These students are the first of many individuals to be recruited and accepted into our program.  We met each of them through an introduction made by a volunteer  Maryknoll Missionary working in El Salvador who had been deeply affected by them, experiencing their character and commitment, and their desire  to better themselves and the quality of life for neighbors in the community of San Ramon.

We are currently building relationships with organizations in El Salvador and other Central American countries who share the belief that the opportunity for education, in El Salvador or anywhere in the world , is the fundamental key to self empowerment and a  the creation of  world that is safe and secure for everyone……..  Future program participants will be identified and screened through these linkages.

While building linkages in Central America, we concurrently are creating relationships with Colleges and Universities, Preparatory Schools and also public and private secondary schools in the Northeast US..  Educational institutions at all levels recognize the global community at all strata of economic sustenance, and wish to prepare tomorrow’s leadership to meet  the moral mandate for each individual’s right to dignity and basic needs fulfilled.

Our program will always be dedicated to bringing students to the U.S. who come from economically fragile communities and families, with the mutual agreement and understanding that program participants will  be  returning home to help lift the lives of others… "that’s the deal”.
